This is different from yakisoba because they are made with different noodles. Yakisoba is also a stir fried Japanese noodles dish but the noodles used are much thinner. Instructions to make Yakiudon:
- Prepare all vegetables and pork. Cut vegetables into strips and slice Pork thinly.
- Prepare Udon Noodles according to the instruction on the package. If you use already cooked Udon noodles, soak in hot water to loosen, then drain well.
- Make sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Heat Oil in a large frying pan or wok, cook Pork and Vegetables and season with Salt and Pepper. Once the Pork is cooked, add Udon Noodles and toss and mix all well. Add the sauce, toss and mix to combine well.
- Sprinkle Katsuobushi (Bonito Flakes) and chopped Spring Onion on top and enjoy.
